To the expert’s eye, many allegedly hyperfemale fashion dolls (the fad of the moment) have a real transgender penchant. No names, I’m not talking about them here, just sampling an associative chain. It will start from a self-celebrating Barbie in fashion sketches patchwork gown and continue with the inverse look, i.e. a transgender dancer with a 3D-Barbie decorated dress; then a proudly transgender doll and a sumptuous Patrick Swayze “en travesti” OOAK doll by collector friend Chan Park.*
All’occhio dell’esperto, molte delle presunte fashion doll iperfemminili (che vanno tantissimo al momento) hanno un autentico penchant transgender. Non le nomino, né parlo di loro qui, ma piuttosto sciorino una catena associativa di immagini. Inizia da una Barbie auto-celebrante in abito patchwork a figurini per continuare con il look inverso, cioè una ballerina trans decorata con Barbie in 3D; poi una bambola dichiaratamente transgender e un sontuoso Patrick Swayze “en travesti” opera OOAK dell’amico e collezionista Chan Park.
