On Barbie’s birthday, I was unexpectedly given one. She has a giant bubblecut, and she’s the repro of the very doll in red one-piece bathing suit you see in my post below. I mean, I was re-given my 1st Barbie, and this touched me. Interestingly, this series was built with a time-capsule concept in mind: emblematic items, worth being a shared material memory.*
Per il compleanno di Barbie, me ne hanno inaspettatamente regalata una. Ha un bubblecut (il taglio di capelli corti e gonfi) gigante, ed è la repro dell’esatta bambola col costumino intero rosso del post sottostante. Cioè mi hanno ri-regalato la mia prima Barbie, e la cosa mi ha fatto un certo effetto. Interessante che qsta serie sia stata pensata avendo in mente il concetto di capsula del tempo: oggetti emblematici, degni di costituire una memoria materiale condivisa.
