“Take this waltz”

oh, it’s BTW the title of this stirring song by Leonard Cohen, composed after a poem written by Federico Garcìa Lorca. But on the dollcultural side, it’s the proper caption to comment this wind-up dancing couple, holding each other in a Siamese embrace and damned to waltz together for all the rest of their tin toy life. Is it a doll or two? I don’t know, so take this waltz and many others, too.

Vacuum packed couples

What are you seeing here: vacuum packed couples asking to be depacked, with their harsh colours and their incongruously shining skin - forever young and looking like plastic - or rather consenting prisoners? Or again, plastic dolls to be never removed, perversely preserved for a future Wunderkammer? Is this photo metaphoring the asphyxia of some real life or even synthetic relationships.
