Curvy & sweet (tooth)

My explorations around and about the body of the dolls continue. Curvy beauty is interestingly and interestedly coming back in the real world; so, you dolls, be prepared! And if Barbie has a few curves without being curvy, we notice that truly curvy and widely successful dolls don’t exist yet - Bambola is still too much a niche idol at the moment. In the meanwhile, I spotted these marzipan minidolls for those with the curvy obsession and a sweet tooth.

Continuano le mie esplorazioni intorno e sul corpo delle dolls. Nel mondo reale, in modo interessante e interessato, è di ritorno la bellezza con le curve; perciò, dolls, tenetevi pronte! E seppure Barbie ha qualche curva senza essere curvy, notiamo che bambole veramente curvy e di ampio successo non esistono ancora – Bambola è ancora troppo un idolo di nicchia per il momento. Frattanto, ho scovato queste bambolucce di marzapane per quelli con l’ossessione delle curve e un debole per i dolci.

Arch of seduction

Arched feet are sexy all along (I’m saving you anthropological reasons you might read e.g. in Desmond Morris’ “The Naked Ape”), and no surprise if many cultures considered - or still do consider - showing the ankles something too suggestive, therefore scandalous. BTW, High heels are just a way to artificially arch feet and emphasize all those curves in the leg shape. Dolls are no exception. Bambola, the Korean fashion doll with the look of a curvy vintage pin-up, can afford silver pumps underlining her "en pointe" feet, her thin ankles and her generous curves. En plein.

I piedini arcuati sono sexy da sempre (vi risparmio ragioni antropologiche che potreste cmq leggervi su “La scimmia nuda” di Desmond Morris per esempio), e non c’è da stupirsi se molte culture consideravano - o ancora considerano - mostrare le caviglie qualcosa di troppo allusivo, perciò scandaloso. Tra l’altro, i tacchi alti sono giusto un modo di arcuare artificialmente i piedi e di enfatizzare tutte quelle curve nella forma della gamba. Le bambole non fanno eccezione. Bambola, la fashion doll coreana che sembra una pin-up vintage curvacea, può permettersi décolleté d’argento che sottolinenano i suoi piedini sulle punte, le sue caviglie sottili e le sue curve generose.
