Articulatory exercise

The extreme articulation of this BJD doll seems to me a body explosion just frozen a moment before total laceration. A CAD design still floating on the pc screen. A sort of exoskeleton or pre-armour for a galactic battle. A poseability exercise ended in selfreferential contemplation. A fragile non-doll.

L’estrema articolazione di questa bambola BJD mi sembra l’esplosione di un corpo congelata un attimo prima della lacerazione totale. Un disegno CAD che ancora fluttua nello schermo del pc. Una specie di esoscheletro o pre-armatura per una battaglia galattica. Un esercizio di posabilità terminato in contemplazione autoreferenziale. Una fragile non-bambola.

When the Bust is a Must

This is an interchangeable bust for action-fashion dolls. When the adventure requires a giant cleavage… voilà, you wear this like a tank. Otherwise, a flat breast can be enough. Dolls like to exaggerate, and some humans, too. But they are less practical!

Questo è un busto intercambiabile per bambole d’azione. Quando l’avventura richiede una... scollatura gigante, voilà, te la metti come una canottiera. Altrimenti, un petto piatto può bastare. Alle bambole piace esagerare. Anche a certi umani - che però sono meno pratici!

In un’empirica morfologia della bambola trovano posto, in qsto blog asistematicamente, molteplici richiami al corpo senza giunture da una parte - e dall’altra al corpo poliarticolato di cui ammirevole esempio al top è la bambola di Crepereia Tryphaena del II sec d.c. ma anche l’estremizzazione anatomica delle 2 action figures femminili in figura.
