On a cover

So, a cover doll, on a record. But not singing, or smiling. Maybe crying. Is the abandoned doll a commonplace of being alternative? Or cruel.

Allora una bambola da copertina – di disco. Ma che non canta, né sorride. Piange magari. La bambola abbandonata è il luogo comune dell’essere alternativi? O crudeli.

She's a pearl

I have a thread on this blog, among others, and it’s about the “Girl with the pearl earring” by Vermeer. I found her in BJD version, Blythe version or portrayed as a sheep… To my delight, my friends Alberto & Philippe (aka Can-Can Paris à Milan) suggested me Marianne Batlle’s brooches, and this is one. Beaded, embroidered. Cute like a doll, with some… perlescence. And still elusive.

Su qsto blog seguo tra gli altri un filo, e riguarda la “Ragazza con l’orecchino di perla” di Vermeer. L’ho trovata in versione BJD, in versione Blythe o ritratta come una pecora… per la mia delizia, gli amici Alberto e Philippe (aka Can-Can Paris à Milan) mi hanno suggerito le spille di Marianne Batlle, e qsta è una. Fatta di perline, ricamata. Tenera come una bambola, perlescente. E ancora elusiva.
