A toy, a dog: possibly a child’s best friends. UK based artist Robert Bradford recycles discarded plastic toys bits and pieces, combs and buttons, brushes, clothes pegs - and of course doll and figurine parts – transforming them into colorful pets, fake weapons and fantastic figures all of them promoted to the noble rank of new, desirable and ironical plastic-on-wood sculptures. Conclusion: never throw that odd Barbie arm away, as it has a potential.

Robert Bradford, artista che vive in UK, ricicla pezzi e resti scartati di giocattolini di plastica, pettini e bottoni, spazzolini e mollette per la biancheria – e naturalmente, pezzi di bambole e figurine – e li trasforma in animali domestici colorati, finte armi e figure fantastiche tutti promossi al nobile rango di nuove, desiderabili, ironiche sculture di plastica su legno. Conclusione: mai gettare quel braccio spaiato di Barbie, che ha un potenziale.
