Soap dolls and politics

Election Sunday here in Milan, with second ballot in two days to elect our Mayor. And I bumped into this late nineteenth century electoral gadget: a doll-soap (or soap-doll, in you prefer)! Should I somehow mean that politics is never enough clean? Or that politics makes bubbles?

The #dollcultural blog is back!

It took an intriguing mail from ARTSY*** to bring me back to the blog. Plus some changes in my life, now allowing more motives to be here, with a kind of manifesto in 3 points.
1. Doll Cult-ure is interstitial: dolls are found even where you don't expect them
2. Doll Cult-ure is no mainstream (if not occasionally), and this reflects the way I am
3. Doll Cult-ure is transversal - it can say "doll" and mean food, art, fashion, design, travel, sensitive issues, entrepreneurship and joy of living.

*** ARTSY, whose mission is making all the world’s art accessible to anyone, realized that my dollcultural approach is doing something similar. The excuse to contact me was a post I wrote in 2008 (!!!) on a LEGO artist, Nathan Sawaya. Starting from the link below, if you like, use ARTSY for future reference, you too!
