Ariane Dionyssopulos’ creatures seen at “Bambole a Roma” last Sunday have broadened the concept of resin doll. They are not made to please the current "Barbie beauty" aesthetics. They have heavy bodies and seem to make faces. But they wear perfect, very credible fashions, and are double -shooted to appear life-sized in the author's urban pics. They are very parisians characters. I don’t know if they have a name, so I’ll go back and ask Ariane.*
Le creature di Ariane Dionyssopulos viste a “Bambole a Roma” domenica scorsa hanno ampliato il concetto di bambola in resina. Non sono fatte per compiacere un’estetica come quella dell'attuale "bellezza Barbie". Hanno corpi pesanti e fanno smorfie. Ma indossano abiti perfetti, molto credibili, e sono fotografate 2 volte per apparire a grandezza naturale negli scatti urbani dell’autrice. Sono personaggi molto parigini. Non so se abbiamo un nome… mi sa che tornerò a chiedere ad Ariane.
