
These images from Vanity Fair’s last week issue show how presenting human scale fashion through doll photos has become part of our visual categories. Yes, mixing human 1:1 scale and doll photoshopped articulations is something familiar to us. But, I was reflecting, this makes a very interesting point: a) that it happens frequently b) that magazine readers are in subtle complicity with it, and c) that it is not being considered a childish thing to do on a magazine with an adult readership…
