My Muse is an Italian way to the global doll-related magazine. Created by a small team, offered in digital version for web and smartphone, printed on demand. Last Xmas, with its 4th issue, My Muse has been offered 4 free. So I asked 4 Qs to Pamela De Lorenzi, one of the editors, to learn how it went:
DF:This is not the first issue of My muse, why did you decide to make it downloadable for free?
MM: Because it was Xmas -we wanted to make a gift to our best readers, and we made the most to gain awareness among those who didn’t know us yet. Giving for free one digital issue of My Muse has been useful to promote ourselves and attract new readers.
DF: How did those on the web react?
MM: I’d say very well! We got a lot of emails from people who were interested, and many “thank you” and greetings messages - our audience liked our initiative, hence I’d say we hit our target.
DF: How many of them downloaded My Muse?
MM: we got 300 requests the first week, and emails are still coming in! Jan 6th was the deadline for those who wanted to take advantage of our offer.
DF: Once I liked issue #04, is there an offer to conveniently get the three previous ones?
MM: you can combine shipping for the printed version, or get the digital version immediately at a very attractive price.

Durante le feste di Natale appena trascorse, in occasione della sua 4^ uscita, My Muse digitale è stato offerto gratis. Ho fatto allora 4 domande a Pamela De Lorenzi, una dei redattori, per sapere com’è andata:
DF: Non è il primo numero di MM, perché hai deciso di regalare il download?
MM: Perchè era Natale e abbiamo voluto fare un regalo ai nostri lettori più fedeli e ne abbiamo approfittato per farci conoscere anche da chi ancora non sapeva della rivista. Rendere gratuito un numero digitale di My Muse, ci è servito per lo più per farci pubblicità e attirare nuovi lettori.
DF: Come hanno reagito sul web?
MM: Davvero molto bene direi! abbiamo ricevuto moltissime email di gente interessata e tantissimi ringraziamenti e auguri, il pubblico ha gradito la nostra iniziativa, quindi direi che abbiamo fatto centro!
DF: Quanti hanno scaricato MM?
MM: Ci sono state più di 300 richieste solo nella prima settimana e le email continuano ad arrivare! C'è tempo fino al 6 gennaio per approfittare della nostra offerta.
DF: Visto il #04, c'è qlche bella offerta per acquistare in modo conveniente i 3 già usciti?MM: puoi fare un’unica spedizione per gli arretrati della versione cartacea, o prenderti la versione digitale immediatamente, col prezzo superattraente che ha.
