A lot has been said about the Dutch fashion designers duo
Viktor & Rolf, celebrating themselves in 2008 with a sensational
doll-scaled anthology of their creations. What I want to underline here is the, let’s say,
exceptional casting choice: all non contemporary, not even vintage, fashion dolls. The dolls they used are in fact porcelain repros with a very rétro look, which makes the effect of many of the outfits even more straniant, impressing and convincing. Each one of them had her name. Here you see BLACK HOLE.

Viktor & Rolf, che hanno celebrato se stessi nel 2008 con
un’antologia delle loro creazioni in scala bambolare. Ciò che voglio sottolineare qui però è, diciamo così,
l'eccezionale scelta di casting: tutte fashion dolls non contemporanee, e nemmeno vintage. Le bambole utilizzate sono infatti delle repro di porcellana dall’aspetto molto rétro, il che rende l’effetto di molti degli abiti ancora più straniante, impressionante e convincente. Ognuna di esse aveva un nome. Qui vedete BLACK HOLE.
